What's wrong with college admissions today?
Too stressful.
Too expensive.
Too confusing.
Too time-consuming.
I offer a better way. The Peace of Mind way.

The Peace of Mind way is better because:
-
You achieve two benefits: college admissions and Future-proofing for career success
-
You avoid wasting time and money on superficial tips and tricks
-
You focus on character and capability for life-long success
-
You save up to 90% for services that educational consultants charge $300-$500/hour
College Career

Some activities prepare young adults for college only.
Other activities prepare them for both college and career.
The Peace of Mind way engages young adults to solve real-world problems, the best activity for preparing young adults for both college and career.
By solving real-world problems, they develop Future-proof qualities and stand out for college admissions.

The Peace of Mind's five principles:

Career over College
Explore careers first, then majors, then colleges.
Career is the destination. College is a stepping stone to reach it.
Inadequate career exploration could lead to disastrous college choices, unrealized potential and an unfulfilling life for the young adult.
Career preparation is more important than ever, because of intense competition in the labor market, accelerating change in careers and widening gap in economic rewards for young adults entering the workforce.

Quality over Quantity
More extra-curricular activities is not better.
Go deep, learn intensely, act boldly and achieve tangible impact in 1 or 2 real-world problem-solving projects.
High quality work and sustained dedication to 1 or 2 projects over 2 - 4 years is better than 10 projects done superficially.
Don't waste time and money on "drive-by philanthropy" projects (e.g. flying to an under-developed country for the summer to build a school) which are undertaken primarily to pad the young adult's resume.
More is not better. Better is better.

Generate over Join
Young adults grow much more from generating or "founding" their own problem-solving projects than from joining existing clubs and programs.
As founders, they will be challenged to explore their environment, identify problems they can feasibly solve, attract partners, secure resources, set goals, plan timelines, measure progress, define roles, create agreements, manage budgets, resolve conflicts, etc.
As founders, they will work harder and grow more than they would by joining an existing club or program.
Because they care more about their projects. They own them.

Substance over Superficial
Young adults should found problem-solving projects to grow character and capability and to make the world a better place.
They should work their tails off to succeed because their communities need them.
Young adults who immerse themselves whole-heartedly in their projects find their lives filled with purpose and meaning and blossom in character virtues and capabilities which had been latent. Often their growth surprises their families and themselves.
Young adults should not found projects to impress others (e.g. college admissions officers).
Their talent and time is too precious to waste on mere resume-building.

Process over Product
Achieving tangible results in problem-solving projects matters, but how young founders achieve them matters even more.
Their projects are a rare opportunity to act boldly without fear of hurting their GPAs and class rank. Their projects offer an extremely valuable opportunity: the chance to fail without penalty, to bounce back from failure.
By reflecting on the way they make decisions, take action, and make meaning from their projects, young founders will grow immensely in character and capability.
In a way that is impossible in the classroom.

Following the five principles brings Peace of Mind because:
-
Young adults build life-long meaning and success, not merely college admission success
-
The successes, failures and reflections from founding these projects will naturally make the young adult stand-out as a person of substance to college admissions officers
-
The time and talent invested in the projects will touch many lives in ways unexpected and wondrous.
